Rachael Ray went through with surgery to correct a problem with her vocal cords that she has been battling for a year. After going through several, unsuccessful therapy sessions, doctors recommended the surgery to remove a benign cyst of her vocal cords. The surgery was minor and was said to be a success since she is already at home resting.
