Susan Boyle loses on Britain's Got Talent

If you live in England, you probably have heard the news already. However, to us here in America, we are not so lucky. However, it is true Susan Boyle has lost Britain’s Got Talent to a dancing group named Diversity.

However, even if Susan Boyle lost on the competition that doesn’t mean that she will be out of the picture. She is a winner because of the fame and the inspiration she has brought to the millions worldwide that she touched her music.

Before you go on a rampage on how the show was rigged for Susan not to win. Just think that this is NOT American Idol. Diversity won fair and square…Why? Well they were really amazing too!

Well Congratulations to Diversity. And to Susan Boyle this is not the end. (now comes the record deals, the money, the fame, the pressure, and the tabloids! HORRAH!)

Adam Lambert is in Fact Gay

    Adam Lambert

American Idol Judge Kara DioGuardi set the record straight on The View as to whether or not Adam Lambert was gay. According to US magazine:

“I don’t think that Adam was ever in [the closet],” she says in a taped interview airing Friday on ABC’s The View. “I think he was always openly out.”
Walters then asked again if Lambert — who has never publicly said he’s gay — “was always openly out.”
“I think he was,” DioGuardi replies. “I mean, from what I’ve seen … I do. I never thought he wasn’t.”
Asked by Barbara Walters whether Lambert’s perceived sexuality may have influenced Idol voters, DioGuardi says, “Well, first of all, I hope not … because we should be judging on talent and viability in the music industry and they both [Lambert and winner Kris Allen] had that.”

    Ummm…duh.

Linda Hogan Should be the Posterchild for Parenting

    brooke-hogan
Brooke Hogan has been accusing her crazy mom Linda of using drugs. And just like any great parent would do, Linda replies by writing a letter to Perez Hilton saying her daughter has breast implants as well as other things:

“[If] Brooke continues to spew lies on behalf of her father’s lame attempt to distance himself from the reality that he is no different from the homicidal OJ Simpson, [Charley Hill] will be forced to put aside his paramedic/firefighting career path and release an album called ‘Redemption’ which will easily surpass any of Brooke’s records sales.”

If anything, this proves even more that you are on drugs Linda. Along with banging a 20 year old kid and the fact that your face looks like it’s about to melt off. You should get parent of the year.

Little Holly Steel forgot her words on Britain’s Got Talent, causing her to cry on network television. After being consoled by the lady judge and those two other guys, she asked if she could start again. They first told her that there wasn’t enough time for her to pull a do over, but Simon saves the day when he tells her they’ll make sure she gets to start again (she’s pulls it off beautifully, by the way). I always knew that mean image was phony…he’s really just a big softy!

And yes, everything you just saw is IN GAME CONTENT.

Modern Warfare 2 (previously known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) is an upcoming first-person shooter video game from Infinity Ward. Officially announced on February 11, 2009, the game will be published by Activision and is due for release on November 10, 2009. Although the game does not share the Call of Duty series title, Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and will continue that game’s storyline.

Modern Warfare 2 is set several years after the conclusion of Call of Duty 4. Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish will return as a non-playable character, and has been promoted to captain in the Special Air Service. MacTavish will lead an elite, multinational commando unit, Task Force 141, to counter the resurgent Russian Ultranationalist organization. The group is now led by Vladimir Makarov, a former associate of Imran Zakhaev with his own nationalistic ambitions. Makarov has been portraying Zakhaev’s death as an act of martyrdom to garner support for his cause, and has built a strong power base in Russia over the years. In response to the threat posed by Makarov, the global community established Task Force 141 to stop him. Mission settings include the mountains of Russia, a desert in Afghanistan, and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Watching through all this, and with my experience as an avid movie-goer, does anyone else see a very real possibilty of this being translated onto the big screen? Hollywood, I know you can read this…

The season premier of Jon and Kate Plus 8 aired last night, but Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jodie are boycotting the show saying according to RadarOnline.com that they were “not interested in furthering the charade at the children’s expense…” and “Jon and Kate’s marriage is over and they are staying together only to continue the show.”

Aunt Jodi’s sister has started a blog about what is really going on behind the scenes of the show. If you care, you can read it here.

    Green Lantern: The Movie

So, we’ve been seeing how Super Heroes started getting their movies out there in Live Action. (X-Men, Fantastic 4, etc). Well move on from those stages because here comes Green Lantern!

    Ok… So I lied.

No this is not the Actual Movie. Let me repeat that, this is NOT the Actual Movie. But wouldn’t it be cool if it was? I know I wish it would.

This video was put together amazingly well by Jaron Pitts and his view on how the Green Lantern Movie (Trailer) should be like. What he did was taking clips from other movies, including The Matrix, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Firefly, Serenity, etc and created this “story” about a possible movie of The Green Lantern. He portrayed the Green Lanter by using clips from the actor Nathan Fillion (From Serenity, Firefly), who gave him praise for this video in his Twitter. Then to do the narration he used audio clips from series like: The Justice League, New Frontier, Batman, etc. Finally added a few cosmetic touches and voila! A viral video was created.

So what’s in store next for Jaron? I sure hope some Hollywood Studio hires him quickly! This kid deserves every respect for editing such an amazing trailer.

I predict this video will hit the News! Trust me.

    Not really.

    Associated Press
    updated 10:39 p.m. ET, Sat., May 23, 2009

BEIJING – Chen Fuchao, a man heavily in debt, had been contemplating suicide on a bridge in southern China for hours when a passer-by came up, shook his hand — and pushed him off the ledge.

Chen fell 26 feet (8 meters) onto a partially inflated emergency air cushion laid out by authorities and survived, suffering spine and elbow injuries, the official Xinhua News Agency said Saturday.

The passer-by, 66-year-old Lai Jiansheng, had been fed up with what he called Chen’s “selfish activity,” Xinhua said. Traffic around the Haizhu bridge in the city of Guangzhou had been backed up for five hours and police had cordoned off the area.

“I pushed him off because jumpers like Chen are very selfish. Their action violates a lot of public interest,” Lai was quoted as saying by Xinhua. “They do not really dare to kill themselves. Instead, they just want to raise the relevant government authorities’ attention to their appeals.”

Xinhua said Lai was “taken away by police” but did not elaborate.

A police officer who answered the telephone Saturday at a station close to the bridge confirmed the incident and said it was under investigation. He refused to give any other details and hung up.

According to Xinhua, Chen wanted to kill himself because he had accrued 2 million yuan ($290,000) in debt from a failed construction project.

On Thursday, he made his way to the Haizhu bridge, where 11 other people have tried to take their lives since April.

    Passer-by breaks through police cordon
Lai volunteered to talk Chen down but was turned away by police, Xinhua said. Lai then broke through the cordon, climbed to where Chen sat, greeted him with a handshake, then pushed.

Photos in the Beijing Morning Post showed Lai, shoeless and in a T-shirt, saluting after Chen fell.

The paper said Lai was released on bail Friday but did not give any details. It said he had been on medication for “a mental illness” for decades and had been on his way to a hospital for his pills.

Chen was recovering in the hospital, Xinhua said.

There are quite a few videos of this stunt on youtube. Just do a search on “china bridge jumper” and you will find them. Most of them don’t have sound, for whatever reason.

Go To Jail & Dance to “Thriller”

A "Sip" by Joel at May 26, 2009 under News, Random | No Comments

This is actually quite interesting. I know this made the news a long time ago, but maybe a lot of people have forgotten about it. So here it is again.

So here in the United States, if you go to jail you spend whatever amount of time you are given by the judge and then you are a free man, while in jail you go through different types of jobs and tasks in order to help you “rehabilitate” (can’t be really sure, because I haven’t gone to jail. And I hope I never go to jail)

However, in the Phillipines, this is another story. In about eight different correctional facilities they have developed a program in which they uses no-violence and teach their inmates to dance in order to pay off their crime.  They believe that if the prisioners are tortured or being treated violently, it will only just cause more violence from them and once they are out in the world they will eventually do something bad once again. I don’t know how this system has worked, but it kind of makes sense to me, at least (Then again, I don’t live in Phillipines).

But Why don’t you be the judge? I find this hilarious and quite amusing. This looks like a “Fun Prison”
